Students are expected to utilize this website daily.  Everything you need to become a successful ap bio student can be found on this site.

DUE TO THE LEVEL OF RIGOR REQUIRED OF THIS COURSE, STUDENTS SHOULD PLAN ON DEVOTING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME EACH DAY TO THEIR AP BIOLOGY STUDIES.  Extended time before and after school may also be required periodically - this time will be used to complete lab assignments, participate in study sessions, etc.  We will devise a schedule at the beginning of the semester that suits the majority of the students in the class.

AP Biology is intended to challenge student abilities to understand problems, develop and implement a plan, manipulate data, draw conclusions, think analytically, and develop hypotheses within the realm of biological science.  The course is organized around the four BIG IDEAS from the AP Biology curricular requirements – these can be accessed via the following college board link: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/sub_bio.html

The ultimate goal in the course is to promote internalization of content – when students can make connections between current learning and prior knowledge, then concepts will be remembered, and novel applications of content can be made.
